Congratulations to all our winners, especially Carol Thomson who won four of the six competitions she was in, including the ladies’ singles club championship; and also to Ronnie Wright with a clean sweep of all the gents singles competitions. Many thanks to Pat Philpot and Charlotte Candlish for organising the weekend, to Jim Paterson for being the ever-present umpire, and to the team who staffed the bar. Fancy dress included pirates, 1960s hippies, barber-shop quartet, and a monster. The prize for the most imaginative fancy dress went by acclaim to Michael Barton; considering the bulk of his costume it's amazing he was able to deliver a bowl! Our sincere thanks to Joan Duncanson of McIntyres for the generous gift. 10 April 2021 On an unseasonably chilly day Club Presidents Joan Russell and Les Campbell officially opened the new season by delivering the first bowls.
